The Pants da da da da

And the bump keeps growing!

Hi everyone, sorry its been such a looooong time since I last wrote.
Lots been happening, well actually lots on one hand and not so much on the other lol just starting to feel very tired. Have taken up knitting! Yes thats right knitting, the stuff that nanas do. Got given a fantastic pattern for the easiest, cutest pair of baby leggings and just couldn't hold back. So now I have completed two pairs in two weeks. ADDICTED!!! I have added some photos below.

Baby is nearly here, only 9 days to go until here arrives. I really hope he doesn't arrive late, don't think I will have enough room inside me for him to get any better.

So this is me at 38 weeks. Hes is quite a cute bump really :).

My reflux has nearly stopped but in return my new best friend is the toilet lol as I visit it at least 20 times a day. Feeling like Im about to burst only to find the result quite disappointing :).

Making the most of the time Shaun and I have left. Went to 'Transformers' last night and only had to leave the cinema once to visit my friend Mr Toilet. Great movie but also just really nice to spend the time with my loving husband :).

Amazing technology!

This is just a quick post to share with you the most amasing 4D photo of our little baby boy!

This scan was taken when I was 34 weeks. His weight was averaged at 2.4kg which I think is around 5.29? His head size is about 37 weeks!! Hmmmm only a little conserned about this as Im pretty sure it wont get any bigger.....well atleast I hope not haha. Im aiming for an 8 pounder so fingers crossed.
I like to think he's blowing me kisses.
Oh by the way, for those of you who can't quite work out the picture, it's just his face. I only point this out because it took my mum awhile haha

In the beginning ...

In the beginning there were just four (two people and two cats). Sorry have to include the cats as they are a very important and special part of our original family. Well really they were the beginning of our family. They are and will always be our 'babies'. No we are not freaky cat people but buying a pet in a relationship is kind of like a practise for how well you both cope with that extra someone in your lives. Haha man I sound crazy, anyway enough about that.

Me - well where do I start ... I am 32 years old and currently 34 weeks pregnant with our first child. We have been married for nearly 2 years and can’t wait for our new addition to the family. We decided from the beginning that we both wanted to find out the sex of our baby (me because I get really anxious and am probably a closet control freak lol). So when it came time for our 20 week scan we were both nervous and excited. Knowing also the importance of this scan (checks all the inside bits are in the right place) we tried not to focus too much on what it might be. I had a sneaky feeling I was having a boy yet for some strange reason could only think of girls names. However, my psychic premonitions were right and on the 17th July we should be receiving our little baby boy, currently named 'Tyler'.

The 1st 20 weeks

Being the first time pregnant i wasnt really sure what to expect. I had heard all the horror stories the cruisy stories but was looking forward to creating my own. I was very nervious during the first 12 weeks as we had experienced a miscarrage earlier in the year and so each day was a worry for me. I tried hard not to stress and almost to forget I was pregnant and to carry on each day as normal. I was also feeling very protective of my privacy and we decided not to tell anyone untill I was at least 10 weeks (family only). This happened to be at Xmas time. What a nice present!

We had an early scan at 8 weeks to check everything was ok and to give us a little reasurance. And it was :). Luckily for me it was then the holidays and so I was able to have private time with friends and family and my growing belly in private. At the very start i dont remember having many symtoms. Nausia didnt set in till about 12 weeks and only lasted until I was around 18 weeks. I was very lucky in that department as it was so mild that as long as I had breakfast as soon as i got up i was ok. There were only a couple of hairy moments when a mad dash to the toilet was needed and then...nothing. I just concentrated on my breathing until the nasty feeling past. One thing i did suffer quite badly from was headaches. REAL bad ones! Panadol is the only safe medication you can take and DONT let anyone else tell you otherwise. I went to the doctors where a locom (not permanent at the surgery) told me it was fine to take 8 200mg tablets of neurophen a day for a whole week!! Needless to say I rang and complained. No no no you can NOT take neurophen. Its soo very confusing in the beginning but sometimes you just have to go with your gut instinct and trust it. Eventually the headaches lessoned and finally stopped when I was around 20 weeks or so. Must have been all those extra hormones surging around in my body.
